Incident Report Description
+ add informationOriginal Report
I reside in a five acre prime farm in Kerarapon, Ngong, 6km from Karen Shopping Centre. The property fronts the all season River Mbagathi. I intend to put up greenhouses for farming Tomatoes and green peppers. However the only module banks are willing to finance is the 8 x 15m module from Amiran Kenya at a cost of 150,000ksh. One can easily construct a quality green house measuring 8 x 30m with the same amount of money. Am intrasted to partner with investors for the second option.
ADDITIONAL REPORTS AND DISCUSSION (Add)
ole turana (Feb 1 2010)
Getting banks to finance such projects may not be easy, but you can start by forming a group of like minded people and then enroll with Faulu Kenya (with offices in Ngong & Kiserian) or Jamii Bora(present in Ngong) then save before borrowing to start the project. Alternatively you can start growing the tomatoes and peppers under normal condition -the weather is a bit cooler before slowing constructing the greenhouse
George Gitau (Feb 3 2010)
I can partner with you in Kerarapon as I have a similar idea but on 100 acres to farm french beans...
